Shoe Bling

Dress: Zara
Necklace: Mexico
Bracelet: Ten Thousand Villages
Shoe Jewelry: Made by Natasha
Shoes: Aldo
Belt: Belonged to my grandma

I busted out my fabulous shoe bling this morning, Natasha made these for me quite some time ago and on this particular morning I saw it and thought, yes! All of these amazing accessories perk up this plain LBD perfectly!

As you can see it was very windy, I tried taking photos close to the door in hopes of staying out of the wind, plus I could pose with my green things I've still managed to keep alive.

A Cool Mullet

Vest: H&M
Knit Top: Banana Republic
Mullet skirt: Gift from Natasha
Belt: Zara
Necklace: Thrifted
Tights: Winners
Clarks Boots: Gift

I really have been having a lot of fun with this skirt, I love the extremes of the length from front to back. These boots were given to me by a lady I know who had bought them, tried wearing them twice and thought them uncomfortable. They fit me great, and they were practically brand new!

Have I mentioned that my radishes are sprouting and now my lettuce too? I was even lucky enough to get a second garden plot, so I'm going to get to work on that too!

Ain't No Sunshine

Jacket: Gift
Tank: Thrifted
Shorts: Gift from Natasha
Bracelet: Ten Thousand Villages
Necklace: Suzy Shier
Sandals: Random store in Rome

The last week has actually been pretty lousy in weather but I missed posting these (a day when we actually had good weather) so here they are!

On a very exciting note, I noticed today my radishes are sprouting and it's only been a week!

Quite A Find

I got this amazing purse at a garage sale for $3! A book fits inside so that means
this purse is a perfect size

The weather here is back to rain and cold so my cardigan made by my grandma
is my go to item.

The longer necklace I'm wearing is also a find from a garage sale last weekend.

Cardigan: Gift
Top: Joe Fresh
Trousers: BCBG
Belt: Thrifted
Booties: Aldo
Necklaces: F21, Walmart, Garage Sale

This weekend is the Lilac Festival and as the weather has been so mild the past couple of months we'll actually have lilacs out in time for the festival for once! Quilt Festival is also happening at Heritage Park so I'll be busy enjoying many beautiful things this weekend.

Have a good weekend!

Playing With Shadows

Jacket: F21
Blouse: RW & Co
Skirt: Winners
Tights: Winners
Shoes: The Shoe Company
BCBG Necklace: Thrifted

This is me playing with a fun colored background and the shadows, I'm not exactly sure it worked.....
I actually had a different skirt on in the morning and got lotion all over it, apparently moisturizing for a man is more of a bird bath scenario than it is for girls.

The Sick Shoes

Top: Winners
Sleeveless top: Winners
Jeans: Selfmade
Shoes: Nine West
Earrings: Anika Burke
Crocodile Ring: F21

Just another sunny day in the neighborhood! I had a fabulous long weekend, I hung out by a campfire, I planted my garden plot, a little hanging basket herb garden and some other pots of yummy goodies, had a date night, and even went rollerblading. I say all of this because it was May Long weekend and this pretty much always guarantees horrible weather and I had not a single drop of rain fall on me!

I should explain the blog post title. A couple years ago when I first got these shoes, I was at work when a summer student came in and was amazed by my shoes and stated "whoa, sick shoes!" Since then whenever I wear these shoes I think of that, a random but never lessoning funny memory.

Summer Love

Cardigan: Joe Fresh
Dress: Selfmade
Bangles: Ten Thousand Villages
Wedges: Nine West
Necklaces: Gifts & Thrifted

Between work being super busy right now and the fabulous weather we've been having, I've definitely been neglecting to do a lot of things.... It's just been so great to be back hanging out on patios! Monday was 50% off at Value Village, so thats where I spent a fair amount of my evening followed by some wine on a patio with my lady friends, ignoring all the other things I should be doing, like the blog for example....

Stay tuned for my great VV finds, there are quite a few!

Mixing Prints & Interesting Sleeves

Dress: Selfmade
Shoes: Spring
Necklace: Gift

I love how the exposure went kind of wonky in these photos because of the sun coming out from the clouds at random moments. I mention this also because I'm pale, but not this pale....

I'm also doing a funny pose in hopes of showing off the fun sleeve better than I have in the past!

Things From My Weekend

This was my view from work on Saturday!

Saturday night my friend and I bartended for a friends bowling league year end shin dig. This was made even more interesting by the fact that neither of us had ever bartended, and the hilarious outfits we decided to wear providing further entertainment! I'll be posting photos of this so stay tuned.

Sunday brought the discovery of a most amazing donut shop. The donut flavors included S'mores, London Fog, Peanut Butter, Coconut and so many other delectable flavors.

After the donuts I thought of a place I had read about and then we found out that it was a mere  400m from where we already were, so we had to go eat there too.... It's a Fine Cheese Deli that also does specialty grilled cheese sandwiches and mine was amazing.

My peat pellet starts that are clearly over grown and need to be transplanted.

I can't believe how much my tomato plants have grown! I need to transplant them again and get some canes they're getting so big! Have I mentioned how excited I am to grow stuff?

Trying New Things

Jacket: Thrifted
Dress: Self drafted and made
Sequin Bow Head band
Boots: Nine West
Earrings: Gift

Here's me trying new things for blog photos and I have to admit I was having fun doing it! I'm still crazy about this dress, and can't wait to have some time to make another!
